amy soloway

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Amy is a vocalist, stage performer, writer, director, and producer. She is perhaps best known in the Yukon as the longest running Diamond Tooth Gertie, having played the role for over fourteen seasons.

In addition to portraying Gertie, Amy has sung all over the globe. She performed her self-written and self-produced one-woman show “Divas” in the US and Canada, and the accompanying album of the same name.

In 2023, Amy wrote, directed, performed in, and co-produced a dinner theatre written specifically for Dawsonites, for which she received an Advanced Artist Award for writing from the Yukon Government.

Amy is now a proud Yukoner and has been living in Dawson City full-time for six years with her partner Dave and their cat Oiler.

Courtney Deelen is an award-winning Director, Writer, and Producer. A Norfolk County kid with a degree in Musical Theatre who was once a famed GRG (2010/2011) and Co-Founder of DEELEN with TROUBLE, Inc specializing in film, television and digital media production.

She is incredibly excited to be starting her next adventure as one half of Fireweed Entertainment, producing live theatre with Amy Soloway.

A proud member of ACTRA and the CMPA, her film The Last of Ian Campbell premiered at the Oscar and BAFTA qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2020. Her latest project, Just A Friend received 11 nominations, winning 5 including Best Short at the Hollywood North Film Awards in 2024. Both films are available to stream via CBC Gem.

She had the pleasure of co-producing the Canadian Film Centre's Actors Conservatory Showcase in 2018, is a multi-grant recipient of the Ontario Arts Council, a finalist of the Cayle Chernin Awards (2018 / 2021 / 2026) AND was a faculty member of St. Clair College's Music Theatre Performance program for NEARLY A DECADE.

Courtney is currently developing two feature films, and a 13-episode series through her production company DwT, while trying to keep up with her 1.5 year old chaos queen.
